Professional Engineering, Projects, PLM & CAD Specialist – Aircraft Design & Development (Montreal)

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Professional Engineering, Projects, PLM and CAD Specialist to support aircraft design and development activities in Montreal. In this role, you will contribute to the engineering lifecycle by developing design solutions, managing project deliverables, and ensuring seamless integration of PLM and CAD tools across engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and project management groups to support the development of advanced aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support aircraft design solutions using advanced CAD tools (CATIA, NX, or equivalent)
  • Create, modify, and validate 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings
  • Ensure design compliance with engineering standards, certification requirements, and customer specifications
  • Manage engineering data, configurations, and workflows within PLM systems (3DEXPERIENCE, ENOVIA, Teamcenter, etc.)
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination of engineering deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment across design, manufacturing, and quality
  • Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and engineering change processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to CAD methodologies, PLM processes, and engineering workflows
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety, regulatory, and aerospace industry standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in aircraft design, development, or engineering support roles
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software (CATIA V5/V6, NX, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of PLM systems and engineering data management
  • Knowledge of aerospace structures, systems, and design principles
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience with project coordination or engineering project support
  • Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE or ENOVIA PLM environments
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (TCCA, FAA, EASA)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design‑for‑manufacturability principles
  • Experience in an aerospace OEM or engineering services environment
