Mechanical Designer

• Job Title: Mechanical Designer
• Level: Intermediate (Level 11)

Education & Experience

Must be Bilingual in French and English.

 One of the following combinations is required:

1. College Diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering Technology – Design Option, including CAD training (solid and/or surface modeling)
   → Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design
2. College Diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering Technology – Manufacturing Option, including CAD training (solid and/or surface modeling)
   → Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design
3. Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) in Mechanical Engineering Technology
   → Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design

Key Technical Skills

• Strong experience with CAD software (solid and/or surface modeling)
• Ability to design or modify mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization principles
• Experience with assembly drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and prototype support
• Familiarity with 3D digital mock-ups (DMU) and configuration management

Soft Skills

• Team-oriented, able to collaborate with production and engineering teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Good organizational and communication skills
