MRO Avionic Technician – Newfoundland

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Avionic Technician to join our aerospace team in Newfoundland. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft avionics systems to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to keep aircraft operating at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems, components, and wiring
  • Perform functional and operational checks on communication, navigation, surveillance, and electrical systems
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documentation
  • Diagnose system malfunctions and determine corrective actions
  • Complete required maintenance logs, reports, and documentation accurately
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory standards, OEM requirements, and company procedures
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
  • Support aircraft modifications, upgrades, and system integrations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs

Requirements

  • Diploma or certification in Avionics, Aircraft Maintenance Technology, or a related field
  • Experience working with aircraft avionics systems (commercial, military, or general aviation)
  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, wiring practices, and troubleshooting methods
  • Ability to read and interpret avionics schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical publications
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (TCCA, FAA, EASA)
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet maintenance deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an MRO or aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of digital and analog avionics systems
  • Experience with system upgrades, installations, and aircraft modifications
