Methods Agent – Montreal

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Methods Agent to join our aerospace team in Montreal. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and high‑quality production. You will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and planning teams to translate engineering requirements into clear, practical work instructions and methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and optimize manufacturing methods, work instructions, and process documentation
• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data to define production requirements
• Support production teams by providing technical guidance and resolving method‑related issues
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
• Participate in the introduction of new products, tools, and processes into production
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and planning teams to ensure alignment between design intent and manufacturing capability
• Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and process validation activities
• Ensure all methods comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely updates to process instructions

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, methods, or process optimization (aerospace experience is an asset)
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production workflows
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an aerospace OEM or MRO environment
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and digital documentation tools
• Understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirements
