Aircraft Mechanic – Newfoundland

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Aircraft Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Newfoundland. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft systems and components to ensure safety, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to support day‑to‑day operations and keep aircraft flying safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural components
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Conduct inspections in accordance with maintenance manuals, engineering documents, and regulatory requirements
  • Repair, replace, and adjust aircraft parts and assemblies as needed
  • Complete all required maintenance logs, reports, and documentation accurately
  • Ensure all work complies with OEM specifications, company procedures, and aviation regulations
  • Assist with aircraft modifications, component installations, and system upgrades
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements

  • Diploma or certification in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) or a related field
  • Experience performing mechanical maintenance on aircraft (commercial, military, or general aviation)
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance documentation
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet maintenance deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • AME license (M1 or M2) or progress toward licensing
  • Experience in an MRO or airline maintenance environment
  • Knowledge of digital maintenance systems and documentation tools
  • Experience with heavy maintenance, line maintenance, or aircraft modifications
