MRO Structural Technician – Newfoundland

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Structural Technician to join our aerospace team in Newfoundland. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining aircraft structural components to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with engineering and regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support aircraft maintenance and modification activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural assembly, installation, and repairs on aircraft components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Carry out drilling, riveting, fastening, sealing, and composite/metallic repairs
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
  • Identify structural defects or damage and determine appropriate repair methods
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment safely and effectively
  • Document work performed in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance and production areas

Requirements

  • Diploma or certification in Aircraft Maintenance, Structures, or a related field
  • 5 years experience in aircraft structural assembly or repair (commercial, military, or general aviation)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with structural tools such as rivet guns, drills, torque tools, and measuring devices
  • Knowledge of metallic and/or composite repair techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet maintenance deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an MRO or aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (TCCA, FAA, EASA)
  • Experience with aircraft modifications and heavy maintenance
