Perform the integration of the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the

aircraft.

Support the development of concepts, design approach and philosophy with the

Flight Control system supplier.

Perform/Review analysis to evaluate concepts feasibility.

Develop, validate and verify technical requirements of the Flight Control System.

Review/Prepare technical requirements

Review/Prepare test procedures

Execute test rig and/or aircraft testing

Review/Prepare test reports in support of certification activities

Resolve problems arising from in-service aircraft.

Troubleshooting, root cause determination, corrective action definition and

execution

Ensure compliance to the ARP4754 development process.

Support trade off studies and life cycle cost analysis for future programs.

Ensure the design process and the resulting equipment implementation is in line

with Bombardier’s requirements and standards.

Occasional trips to the Suppliers facilities and Regulatory Authorities, as well as on-

site support to the Final Assembly Line (Toronto & Montreal), Completion Centers

(Montreal), Flight Test Center (Wichita).

Requirements:

You hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and have a

minimum of 7 years’ experience in aerospace related field. You have been directly involved in the definition and certification of at least one FBW

and/or Secondary Flight Control system.

You possess a good understanding of all facets of system definition, integration, and

certification and have a knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (e.g.,

electrical, hydraulic, avionics, auto-flight).

You have knowledge of Part 25 certification process.

Experience in modeling and dynamic simulation of flight controls electrical and

hydraulic actuators is an asset.

You have a working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow simulation

environment.

Some familiarity with other simulation environments such as ADAMS, or design

tools such as CATIA would be an asset.

Good knowledge of MS Office and Requirements Management tools is an asset.

Soft skills:

o Excellent oral presentation in English and French.

o Technical writing skills in English are required (French is an asset).

o You have the ability to work with limited supervision, be organized, a team

player, and a self-motivated person, be Customer focused, and be able to

work under pressure.

o You must also show initiative, innovation, a strong sense of responsibility and

integrity, adaptability, have good interpersonal communication skills, have a

good engineering judgement, and drive for results.
